Everyone always says that Christmas is so much more special through a child's eyes. That is so true! Gwyneth's eyes have just lit up time and time again these past few weeks, seeing lights and trees and big ole' packages just for her to tear into. We have been so blessed to have this special time as a family. Gwyneth must've had some dirt on lots of people, including Santa- because the child got SO much stuff. Yesterday was Christmas Eve- I cooked another big meal, basically the same food that we had when Pat was here on Sunday. Oh my gosh, it was soooo good. Then we took Gwyneth and had our family portraits done (see previous post). We tried our best to make it back in time for Christmas Eve Mass, but just missed it. We came home and just enjoyed quality time as a family. Christmas morning was a madhouse. Gwyneth was so excited opening all her gifts. Santa brought her the Bounce and Spin Zebra, the Little People Barn and a shape sorter toy. Grandma in New York sent a big Zoo Animals toy and a bathtub submarine toy. Grandma also sent some board books for Gwyneth. She sent Mommy a beautiful Willow Tree figure for her collection and Daddy some books about sailing and climbing. Mama Sue and Uncle Ben sent Gwyneth some CUTE new boots and clothes (they are awaiting her visit to Tennessee in January to give her toys) and a nice monetary gift for Mommy and Daddy. One of her favorite items had to be that from Grammy and Grandpa (Barbara and Rich Sr.)- the Doodle Pro. She was beside herself opening that gift- I have included a video...the best part is her reaction at the end (yes- most of this video is sideways- sorry I forget). She also got her "Very First Bible" from them. Grandmother (Pat's mom) sent us all money- in which we have ordered Gwyneth a portable DVD player for the car (will be so handy with all our trips to Tulsa, etc.). Rich and I got clothes for one another. He also got a dock for the IPod and I got some Bath and Body Works lotion- those were our smaller 'surprise' gifts for one another. Nice. Oh- and a special thanks to Aunt Lana and Uncle Bob in Florida for our surprise gift card! How nice! But I think the biggest gift we received this Christmas has been God's blessings- which seem to keep falling upon us. Let us remember He is the reason for the season. We hope you all had an amazing holiday season. God bless!!!

29 Week Ultrasound
We had another ultrasound today to check the location of the placenta. All looks great and as it should be! Chloe is measuring right on track in the 50 percentile- she weighs about 3 lbs right now. It was so nice to see our baby girl again!

Christmas with Mimi
Today we celebrated Christmas with Mimi. She flies home to Tennessee tomorrow to spend Christmas there. It was a truly amazing day. Once we were all out of bed, we went ahead and opened gifts (the ones to each other- all other gifts will wait until actual Christmas) as if it were Christmas morning. Pat loved her calendar from us- it was filled with pictures of our princess. We all got great gifts. Gwyneth got an alphabet centipede and a doll from her Mimi and Papaw. Rich and I, among other things, both got actual cross necklace pendants that had been blessed by the Pope. (Pat bought them when she visited the Vatican a few years ago.) After gifts, Rich, Gwyneth and Pat went to the flea market while I cooked us a great meal. Our spread included HoneyBaked Ham, stuffing, augratin potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, rolls and hot apple pie with ice cream. Wowzers. Needless to say we were absolutely STUFFED. We then just relaxed the rest of the day. Gwyneth was very happy to have a Christmas celebration with Mimi!!!

Gwyneth's 15 month appt
Today Gwyneth had her 15 month appointment. She weighed 21 pounds and was almost 29 inches tall! She got four shots. Needless to say, she wasn't a happy camper. However, she took them like a champ and was happy again in no time!

Oklahoma City River Parade!
Tonight we went to OKC's River Parade. It was really cold!!! We met up with Janice, Mark and Eric there. Rich came after work and met us too. He even brought hot chocolate for us all! This was the first of what I am sure will be many Christmas events for the Kimbleys! The illuminated boat floats were nice- though it was hard to get a good picture in the dark!

Halloween fun!!!!
Today we had a playgroup Halloween party!!! I went as a Hershey's Kiss. Gwyneth was the CUTEST little ladybug. We had a great time. We had a fair turnout- Gwyneth happened to be the only girl at the party. But all the kiddos were so cute!!! Later this evening, once Gwyneth was asleep- Rich and I carved our little pumpkins that we had gotten at the pumpkin patch. It was so fun!
