Much Ado About Nothing...

Last night we attended Shakespeare in the Park. We had a blast. It wasn't too hot and Gwyneth was as well-behaved as we could've hoped for!!! It was a great performance. Just another of many summer activities!!!

Nine month appointment today!!!

Gwyneth had her nine month well-baby appointment today. Let's see those stats: she weighed 14 lbs 12 oz (in the 25th percentile) and was 28 and half inches tall (75th percentile). Way to grow little one! She is right on track with all her milestones... rolling around, scoot crawling and standing/stepping on her own. We really liked the new pediatrician too! Daddy took off work and went with us. Gwyneth even rode on Daddy's shoulders at the doctors' office. She was oh-so-relieved that no shots were involved in this appointment.

Kindermusik for Gwyneth

Gwyneth and Mommy are attending five sessions of Kindermusik this Summer. I have enrolled her in the "Peek-A-Boo: I Love You" program at a Fine Arts/Dance center here in OKC. Today was our very first session. We sang, danced, recited nursery rhymes and played with scarves and rattles. It was super rich with interaction. Gwyneth LOVED IT!!! Oh my gosh. When we danced in circles I was holding her. She kicked like nobody's business. She really liked playing with the drums and seeing the other babies/toddlers!

Father's Day

Yesterday was Rich's very first Father's Day. What a super sweet day!!! We awoke kinda early (thanks to a certain baby girl I know). I made Rich his 'love cup'. When he got up he opened his cards and gifts. Gwyneth made Daddy the sweetest card. He got an electronic gadget organizer from me and a digital photo keychain from Sweet Pea. Yes, the dog and cat got cards for Daddy too. Boy are they thoughtful these days!!! We all got ready and attended Mass. Then we hit up our favorite breakfast spot (Denny's) for our most important meal of the day. We all came home and took a nap. After a little yard work we all took a dip in the pool. Gwyneth really loved her own little float...such a waterbug! It was a great day. Just one of many special Father's Days in Rich's future.

Home from Tennessee visit!

Baby girl and I rode back to Tennessee with Sue and Ben. It was two weeks of go, go, go! It was so nice to see lots of family and friends again. While there we saw lots of people. We got home on Wednesday. 'Daddy' picked us up at the airport. Whew!!! It all feels like a dream.
